David Rairick/Aurastone

David has been a part of the decorative finishing industry since he began as a young entrepreneur at only age nineteen.  David founded ‘Professional Finishes’, a luxury decorative finishing company in Naples, Florida.  Excited by his success, David expanded his horizons and opened his own decorative finishing teaching studio. In 2003, “The Faux Studio” became a reality and David’s teaching skills attracted students from all over the country.  His reputation grew as he offered additional classes both in artistry and the business of art, and soon he was in demand as a guest instructor for studios throughout the world.  This afforded him the good fortune to travel and learn from other artists and cultures. David delivers a wealth of knowledge and skill as he teaches from a platform of many years of field experience. Workshops with David are instructional, comprehensive, and always entertaining.

Actively involved in the industry, David has been disappointed with the products that have been available for counter top overlays as well as wall applications.  His concern for better environmentally friendly products led him to research and create, and eventually, he founded Aurastone™ International Inc.

Branded “Aurastone-The Optical Phenomenon™”, David has now established his own line of eco-friendly architectural coatings.
